The Princess of Wales did a fashion grand slam this week as she absolutely smashed it at court and courtside, during the State Visit of President Macron and a wonderful Wimbledon appearance. We love to see Catherine and it’s even better when she looks so well, whilst understanding the struggles she continues to face post-cancer.
But none of that was in evidence yesterday, when she turned up courtside at Wimbledon, looking every inch the glamorous patron she is, in her white Self Portrait dress. The princess looked ace - pun intended - as she watched Amanda Anisimova and Iga Świątek battle it out on Centre Court. The crowd cheered when she took her seat, which was a nice touch.

Earlier in the week, Catherine fittingly chose French couture for the visit of Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron at Windsor Castle, in a blush pink Bar jacket and skirt from Dior – the first time she’s publicly worn the brand, so a real coup for them – followed by a dramatic red gown from Givenchy by Sarah Burton.
Sarah Burton, of course, designed Catherine’s wedding dress in 2011, when she worked at Alexander McQueen and Dior has long enjoyed royal relationships. The French fashion house dressed Queen Camilla in a stunning blue gown on her visit to Paris in 2023 and she continues to wear the label, including at Ascot this year, when she even carried their signature Lady Dior bag, named after Princess Diana. Princess Margaret wore a romantic Dior gown for her 21st birthday portrait and more recently, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry have both sported the brand.
So it’s sad news then, that Catherine is losing her trusted personal stylist Natasha Archer, who has been responsible for her polished looks over the past 15 years. Known as “Tash”, she joined the household in 2010 and is moving on to set up her own consultancy. Can you imagine how well that will do, with customers clamouring to recreate a little of the Kate magic?

Presidents and litter-picking - the King’s the real Deal
Proof the King does a royally good job – Charles went from hosting the State Visit of the Macrons at the start of the week, to litter-picking in Kent, on Thursday. He visited Deal – a lovely seaside town near Dover - and joined its coastal clean-up campaign. He also visited Walmer Castle and the local RNLI Lifeboat Station and the whole time managed to look cool and collected in his summer suit, despite the searing heat. Kerry was disappointed to discover he also popped into Bedgebury Forest, which is very close to her home - and she missed him!
Happy birthday Camilla!
This Thursday will see our Queen blowing out 78 candles on her cake (well, probably only metaphorically speaking), and we wish her a fantastic day. Last year on her special day, Camilla was supporting Charles at the State Opening of Parliament. Let’s hope this time round she can have a lie-in and precious time spent with her loved ones. She deserves it!
William cheers the Lionesses
It’s the Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland and our top royal footie fan and Patron of the England Football Association is obviously getting well behind the Lionesses.
William flew to Zurich on Wednesday to watch the crunch match against the Netherlands. He certainly worked like a lucky charm as the Lionesses roared to victory. “A big 4-0 win in the group stage - and what a set of goals! Off the mark and onto the next one. Let’s go!” posted the Prince of Wales on Instagram. His loyalties will be tested as their next game is today against… Wales!
Meanwhile, the Prince was looking pitch perfect himself as he took part in in the Royal Charity Polo Cup to raise over £1 million pounds for charity on Friday. Now in its 14th year, the polo match supports organisations, such as British Red Cross, NHS Charities Together, Child Bereavement UK plus many more, carrying out vital work across the UK and beyond.
Diana and Charles rock on at Live Aid
Today is the 40th anniversary of those amazing, legendary Live Aid concerts - the 16-hour simulcast from Wembley Stadium, London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia on 13th July 1985. We’ve mostly been hiding from the heatwave here in the UK by watching all the documentaries and the concert again and again. So many memories! To see Diana and Charles officially open Live Aid makes the historic day even more poignant and iconic. We bet pop-loving Diana didn’t really want to leave so early!
