Had anyone ever thought that he might have a point? Most people are so invested in the royal propaganda to even contemplate what actually goes on. I'm not a royalist at all. Corrupt waste of space. The media dictate the narrative so he hasn't got a chance of being believed anyway. We don't know these people or what 'The Firm' are capable of.... or maybe we do. As a member of Republic I simply don’t want there to be any Royals and I don’t think that being from a certain womb entitles you to be a special person. I don’t have any substantial feelings toward any of the Royals and the Newspapers falling down in ecstasy all over William and family leaves me cold. As for Harry, a small part of me simply feels sorry for him.
If everyone has cut him off what choice does he have then to tell the press what he wants to tell his family? Harry wants to be loved and accepted by his family but keeps breaking “the firm’s rules” so it will never happen. He needs to let all of that go and he and Megan live their lives.
The royals are not real people, they live fake lives and for what purpose? We never see the real people underneath, just the occasional glimpse that is usually covered up and manipulated by their handlers and the press. The real people underneath are immature, jealous (just like everyone else) and don’t understand the real world because they have never been a part of it. Their messes are cleaned up for them, they have staff to take care of everything and we only see what their curated version is.
The story of Kate and William’s anniversary trip is just a marketing ploy, they are having a romantic trip that is cover by their photographers who are staging everything. All of the influencers do the same thing, none of that is real. I hope they are that happy when they aren’t on camera but we don’t know. Diana and Charles looked the happy couple until we started to get leaked info.
I suspect that they never wanted Harry and Megan to stay .Before they left they were far more popular than any other royals except the Queen . Other royals had careers outside the family, and them wanting to do that does not seem like a enormous ask . The royals and their advisors it sounded like , would not entertain part time service for them.
Despite the fact that anyone reading royal news was well aware that Megan was treated differently by press and race certainly played a factor . How anyone could say it was the same as negative press other royals received is beyond me . I am not surprised she felt suicidal ! It was relentless coverage of her mostly negative but some was occasionally positive . The amount of attention she received however was very reminiscent of Princess Diana! And I don’t think it was unreasonable of Prince Harry to be worried about his wife being a victim to the same circumstances as his mother . I also feel royal advisors and the family did not want another “ Diana situation “on their hands. Starting a media campaign against them for leaving , with more negative press than I’ve ever seen for anyone . This certainly ensured that anything going on with other Royals.( Andrew , Camilla and the royal scandal with her and Charles long time affair ) took a back seat . Of course this generated hate , and death threats against his family and him wanting extra security in the country that leads the charge on these stories, where actual tv personalities speak of parading her around naked (aka game of thrones ) that does not seem unreasonable to me . It is a bad look for the royal family and they should know it . Who does advise them ?? Despite all this the fact is they are still being covered and talked about because they sell . Nothing to do with like or disliking them . Princess Diana was getting pretty negative press right before she died but still getting relentless press coverage
. If Harry and Megan did not sell they would not be covered . That is what all this royal vitriol is about !
Under what circumstances does PH feel he needs this enhanced security? He would not be visiting the UK as a working Royal, so not travelling around the country performing Royal duties, so would only be here to visit family (if indeed they were able to reconcile). So surely any location or event or circumstance where the Royals are together will already be subject to the families existing security. What else would be required? Maybe airport transfers but what else? I struggle to understand the logistics of the problem.
This is all a mess - just like rows in millions of other families. I hope it gets solved, but it doesn't look likely. H & M seem to follow a pattern of claiming victim hood and adopting the high ground - remember the issue over Thomas Markle? Has that been reconciled?
